The Front Door Lock Wont Unlock At All

Problem with lock cylinder.

The front door lock wont unlock at all.

On the kwikset locks this looks like two little teeth that the cylinder pushes back. Door lock systems operate the actuator by toggling positive negative voltage to the actuator. Were you using a fresh hold cycle available on some models. You should see the voltage polarity toggle with each switch activation.

If the door does not allow the lock to be jimmied open it may be necessary to remove the door from its hinges. Call technical support for further troubleshooting.
